Sneaking into the Detroit Electronic Music Festival (DEMF)
April 29, 2007
I guess it is about the money after-all.
The Detroit Electronic Music Festival (DEMF, I will not call it “Movement”) isn’t cheap anymore.
$41 for a standard weekend pass; $150 for a VIP pass that the yuppies Euros love so much.
This, of course, doesn’t apply to the many volunteers, DJs, producers, venders, police, promoters, friends, scenesters, homeless people, Girls Gone Wild subjects, celebrites and others who get in for free.
But if you’re a techno-peasant like me, and you don’t have a ton of cash, how do you plan to sneak/scam your way in?

Baring using a boat to pull a Haitian Refugee Maneuver, I was told the river entrance doesn’t really do searches. Pack your hip flasks!
